Electrician and handyman switch on to hydrogen conversion
A pair of tradesmen from Manchester are helping motorists to reduce their impact on the environment while saving money at the same time.
Roy Robinson, a painter and decorator, and Mark Halligan, a former electrician, have used their combined know-how to establish North West Hydrogen Conversions, which installs dry cell converters in car engines that turn water into hydrogen.
The converters activate when the vehicle is moving, feeding hydrogen into the engine to help the petrol burn more cleanly and efficiently, reducing fuel consumption by as much as 40 per cent.
Mr Robinson and Mr Halligan travelled to the US, where the technology was devised, to learn how to install the converters from a specialist company.
They report that after just a few months in the business they already have a number of satisfied customers who have found that the devices quickly pay for themselves in cost savings on petrol.
