Homeowners improve rather than move in recession
People are more likely to call in tradesmen to make improvements to their home than move during the recession, according to one high street bank.
Figures released by Yorkshire Bank show that just five per cent of people are planning to relocate this year, with many planning on carrying out an extension or refurbishment on their home instead.
