Weinbrenner-Thorogood announces new work boots
A new range of slip-resistant protective boots is set to be unveiled to workers in the construction industry later this month.
The boots and shoe company Weinbrenner-Thorogood is to manufacture the footwear, called Black Hornet, which is expected to offer lightweight comfort and durable underfoot tread.
Designed to be used by handymen, builders and fire fighters, the boots help wearers stay safe with slip-resistant soles to ensure better balance while a reinforced leather shin guard offers increased protection.
"We put to work all of our decades of expertise in designing soles for work, outdoors and recreation to deliver maximum performance," said Patrick Miner, vice-president of sales and marketing at Weinbrenner.
He added that the Black Hornet boots will set wearers' minds at rest, allowing them to focus on their jobs.
The Thorogood division of Weinbrenner has been producing work boots for a variety of industrial and outdoor professions since 1892.
