Couple celebrate plumbing success
A couple who operate a plumbing franchise in Southend are celebrating winning a national award for the fourth year on the trot.
David and Sharon Spurrier, who also run Drain Doctor franchises in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich, were presented with the Franchise of the Year award after becoming the first to turn over more than £1 million per year.
Since 2003 the couple have built up a team of a dozen qualified plumbers in fully-equipped vehicles and pride themselves on delivering value-for-money service throughout the recession.
"We have gone 'back to basics' to make sure that we offer great levels of value and service to our existing customers, enabling us to help make Drain Doctor a recession-resistant business," said Mr Spurrier.
Drain Doctor recently launched its emergency cover service for homeowners, pledging to deliver a fully-trained tradesman to urgent situations within three hours.
