Plumbers rock it out for charity
By Brian de Selby
A band of rock 'n' roll plumbers from South London have signed a deal to record a CD in aid of charity.
The four-piece band of qualified tradesmen known as Never Mind the Ballcocks were recently crowned the Workplace Wonders on BBC One talent show Tonight's The Night.
Recording such fitting hits such as Burning Love and Splish Splash I'm Taking a Bath, the band hopes to sell their CDs in Plumb Centres and Parts Centres all over the country, with the profits going to Action for Children and The Prince's Trust.
Copies of the CD, which will also feature covers of Crazy Little Thing Called Love and Valerie, will also be available from Pimlico Plumbers in London, where the musical quartet are employed.
The foursome are not the only tradesmen with talent, however qualified electrician Demetri Demetriou and his son reached the final of this year's Britain's Got Talent with an unusual take on Riverdance.
