Store lends a hand to qualified plumbers
A plumbing supply firm is hoping to raise the profile of its services by providing dedicated assistance to professionals in its stores.
Plumb Center has planned around 38 plumbing 'centres of excellence' around the UK which will be rolled out throughout 2009.
Richard Virr, development director at Plumb Centre, says staff at the centres will be specially trained and quality stock provided to ensure qualified plumbers get the best service and advice possible.
"The needs of the commercial plumbing business and the skills required to service those needs are different from the domestic market and we want to ensure that Plumb Centers' commercial centres of excellence are able to meet and exceed those needs," he said.
Wolseley, which owns Plumb Center, was recently crowned Supplier of the Year by its customer Interserve, with which it successfully established a dedicated maintenance store in Slough.
