Whitchurch plumber helps customers go green
A qualified plumber from Whitchurch is encouraging Britons to save money by going green.
Dave Tudor, who owns Simply Heat on the Waymills Civic Green estate, specialises in installing environmentally friendly plumbing and drainage systems, the Whitchurch Herald reports.
As well as plumbing supplies and old boiler parts, the 29-year-old tradesman stocks solar panels, ground source heat pumps and rain water harvesting systems.
"Though I also do conventional plumbing, I plan to specialise in eco-plumbing as I feel it has to be the future," he told the paper.
Mr Tudor says installation costs for the technology are low and once fitted customers can make back the money in reduced energy bills.
He currently employs one other plumber at his shop but is planning to expand his operation if business goes well.
Mr Tudor is the latest of Britain's qualified plumbers to go green, following the decision by Peterborough-based Drain Doctor Plumbing to offer rainwater harvesting as part of its range of services.
